Then escape to the country at STONE HOUSE FARM!
New listing in 2020! Located just outside the southwest metro of Minneapolis/St. Paul near the quaint town of Jordan, Stone House Farm provides an extra-ordinary setting for a close-in rural respite from the pace and populous of city and suburbs and is available year-round.
The farm is distinguished by its unique, nearly 100-year-old, beautifully restored stone farmhouse that is surrounded by 115 inspiring acres of rolling hills, native grasses, and mature trees. The secluded "Back 40” with a meandering creek and maintained trails is a special place to walk, snowshoe, cross country ski, and view wildlife. There is lots to do at the farm and nearby! See list below.
The Psalmist wrote, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul.”
We hope this is what you experience at Stone House Farm and look forward to helping you have a memorable visit.

SETTING: On the Front 75 acres, the farmhouse, detached garage, and two barns sit atop a hill nestled amongst pines and hardwoods with beautiful views in nearly every direction. You will enjoy plenty of privacy—the farm yard is set back over a quarter mile from quiet Sawmill Road, with the nearest neighbor even further away. The Back 40 nature and wildlife acreage, much of it never tilled and reflecting the original prairie landscape of Minnesota, is a treat to walk, cross country ski or snowshoe on groomed trails, and view wildlife amongst the native grasses, trees, hills, and stream. Each season at the farm—winter, spring, summer, and fall—offers its own unique experience!
LIVING ROOM, DINING ROOM, KITCHEN: All three rooms on the main level are open and connected and filled with natural light. The LIVING ROOM is suited for relaxing on the comfy chairs and couch. The DINING ROOM has an expandable farm table, perfect for family meals and games. The KITCHEN is fully equipped for all your culinary ideas, with stainless steel appliances—double-ovens and range, french-door refrigerator, and dishwasher—butcher block countertops, and a farm sink overlooking the Back 40. Full list of kitchen items available upon request.
BEDROOMS and BATHROOMS: There is one bedroom with queen bed on the main level and two bedrooms upstairs, one with a king bed and the other with two twins. Full bathrooms with tiled showers on main and upper levels. There is also an additional room upstairs for reading or kids play.
OUTDOOR FIREPLACE, GRILL, and PICNIC TABLE: Great for family times, meals, and taking in life at the farm.
CAMPFIRES: Unless burn restrictions are in place, campfires are allowed in designated areas—in the fire ring overlooking the Back 40, or for an even more remote experience, by the oaks in the Back 40. Free split firewood available.
RECREATION: Four mountain bikes are available (nice gravel roads, bring your own helmet if you'd like), as well as ping pong, trampoline, bean bag toss, ladder ball, and horseshoe pit. Board games, puzzles, and a digital piano are also available.
DOGS: Well-behaved dogs welcome. Please read Rental Agreement for dog guidelines. Sorry but we do not allow cats or other non-dog pets.
TV / INTERNET: The farmhouse has a 40” Samsung LED TV that receives 30+ Twin Cities local TV channels and a DVD player. Cell service is good to connect to Internet with cellular devices or via hotspot with non-cellular devices.
GATHERINGS: The farm is not an open-to-the-public event facility but we do consider requests for gatherings of the tranquil variety, such as family reunions, meetings, and company picnics. The farmhouse, North Barn, outdoor spaces, grills, and A/V equipment are all available options. Please email us with your idea.
